I have a 67 Camaro with a rebuild TH350. I've replaced the seals in the speedo as well as the rear pinion seal. I've cleaned it up several times and drove around the block to see where it is dripping, but I still can't pinpoint it :mad: Can anyone else give me a suggestion at what else to look at? I drips around a teaspoon or two a night sitting in the garage. It's getting pretty annoying. If I can't get it fixed in the next night or two it's going to a tranny shop I guess. Thanks for any help!

The seal to the shift selector shaft on the left side of the trans is notorious for leaking on the 350 trans. They make a special tool to install this seal.

those drips will drive you insane. mine was a combination of the dipstick tube, a cracked tailshaft housing where the speedo cable connects(took me a couple years to realize this until i popped the housing off), and the tranny pan. good luck.

The above mentioned leaks are good ones, especially a cracked housing. My suggestion would be to drive the car until hot, say maybe 20-30 miles, park it on jackstands, and place a sheet of cardboard underneath the trans/engine.

Check c/board in the morning, crawl underneath, and go straight up from the c/board to the leak on the trans. You might even throw some Martha White's flour on to the case to pinpoint further.

Remember, the forward motion of the car will force some oil to go towards the rear of the car. If it drips from the rear rail, then, it could easily start from the front rail.

I will check all those this evening. It seems that the drip is coming somewhere towards the front. Guess I should have mentioned that graemlins/clonk.gif My only bitch about my car is that it is lowered and I can't hardly fit my fat butt under it even on ramps.
