What are accepable tolerances for flywheel and tranny input shaft runout?

I measured the flywheel runout at the outer edge, past pressure plate mounting bosses, and have .0035". The input shaft was measued at the tip where it sits in the pilot bearing and has .005". Should I be concerned with these figures? I am trying to hunt down what seems to be a "sticky clutch" situation. Hard to down shift at higher rpms while heal/toeing but up shifts fine. I have a 1996 T-56 and CenterForce Dual Friction clutch and billet flywheel.

Thanks for any help,

I think those readings are fine. In my book, 0.003 to 0.005 is good.

Thanks Dave.

Although it may not matter I think the above decription of flywheel measurement procedure is misleading. I placed the dial indicator on the pressure plate surface of the flywheel out past the clutch mounting bosses and rotated the engine 360 degrees with a total of .0035" displacement.

Cheers,
