I was triing to find out what I need to get for parts to change from a 4.88 to either a 4.10 or a 4.30 in a Dana 60 in my camaro. I'm going to get somebody to install the gears but I'm just looking at getting some info so I can maybe start buying some parts.

You need the ring & pinion set and a good installation kit. That should do it, unless you will be changing the differential too.

Big gear head, If Dino goes from a 4.88:1 to a 4.10:1 will he need to change from a 4 to a 3 series carrier? I just got done narrowing up my Dana 60 and ordering the internals for it. My spool was a 3 series 3.33:1-4.10:1. Moser said I needed a 4 series for anything lower than 4.10:1.
I am no expert on this matter. Just curious to know if a carrier change would be required.

Chris,
You are right, the differential will need to be changed to go to the 4.11 gears. I overlooked that. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Would it be easier if I went to the 4.30 or some thing like that, as long as it is over the 4.10 gear ratio.

I don't know which differential the 4.30 fits. I have not installed a 4.30 in a Dana 60 and my book doesn't say which differential it fits.
