Anyone done it in a 69? I saw an article once about having to use a special shifter to clear the floor. Gear venders themselves haven't really been much help.

Hey Mike, JK has the article that details the install in a 68. I don't remember it using a special shifter, tho'.

I broke my tranny......Thinking of installing Dom's M20 and going manual for awile. Or maybe a 5 speed.
Whattya think?

Merry Christmas

Joe I would have bet the 10 bolt would have died long before the tranny. Think about a 200 4R with your 3.55s and the mild cam in that thing I bet it would work real well. Merry Christmas
Sorry about the trans, Mike

Thanks, Mike. I took it apart today. The forward clutch drum cracked where the the input shaft splines are. Everything else looks perfect. The clutches still have the writing on them. It went BANG after shifting into high. (I was on it, tho'). Looks like any easy fix it I don't do the overdrive thing. Still thinking.........
Guess I'll find the next weak link soon.
Has Dom done anything with the new heads?
We put headers on JK's convertible; made a noticable difference. Had to fatten up the carb a bit.
Merry Christmas.

The rest of Doms parts should be here today. I don't know when he will get started but knowing him it will be soon.
