Its saddens me to announce that Evelyn's older brother Robert Marcelino Cabilan, passed away 5 May 2004 at 11:41PM. Robert had recently had a ruptured blood vessel in his brain which lead to bleeding in the brain resulting in a stroke. With the bleeding being as it were, it allowed the brain to start dieing off. He was taken off the respirator after the family was told there was no chance of his recovering. Robert was 46, and left 6 children aging from 9-22. Please say a prayer for Robert when you get a chance.

That's very sad - you are not alone. A favorite quote of mine:

We bereaved are not alone. We belong to the largest company in the world, the company of those that have known suffering. When it seems that our sorrow is too great to be borne, let us think of the great family of the heavy hearted into which our grief has given us entrance and inevitably, we will feel about us their arms, their sympathy, their understanding. ---Helen Keller

Just wanted to take the time and tell all here Mahalo for the kind words and thoughts/prayers for Robert. We laid him to rest today and the people that came out to see him off was something else. Over 800 people at the Wake last night and another 300+ at the service this morning. I printed out the Thread here and over on Yenko.net and the close family friends could not beleive that the Car and Bike familes Web-Wide had such kind words for someone they have never meet. It goes to show that in trying times, the family in all of us comes togther and take care of the rest of us. Would say the best part of the day was the escort he received into the cemetary as 50+ Harleys paced the way for him to his final resting place.

Again Mahalo and Aloha for all the support and messages we received in all forms from the Cabilan and Chlupsa families.

Al/DjD, can you lock this thread as no replies are needed, just wanted to say Mahalo to all.
