I just installed a bowtie overdrives 700r4 in my 67 and I still need to get the driveshaft shortened. I was wondering if I could fill the trans with fluid and tune my engine with just a plug in the tailshaft while my driveshaft is still in the shop? What do you guys think?

I dont see a problem providing you leave the trans in park and dont put it in gear.

If you need any help adjusting the TV cable give me a yell.I've been going to Glendora alot lately and stopping in your neighborhood wouldn't be a problem.

Be prepared to losse some oil out the tail shaft. I second the "do not put in gear" warning. Normally you'd have the brakes applied through the wheels had the driveshaft been installed. But without the shaft you'll never be able to stop it from spinning without banging it into park.
