Are the Richmond 4 speeds good transmissions.
I can get one for around $125. I don't know what the ratios are, I'll have to check the #'s next time I look at it. Of course I will pull the side cover and check it out. I've got a Richmond 5 speed for my 69 but for the price, well you know, you can't have too many parts!

If this is the same Richmond 4 speed that you can buy out of Jeg's or Summit for $1100-$1200, then yes, they are decent transmissions. A well built M22 in a Supercase would probably be a stronger tranny, but for $125, you can't go wrong unless the internals are all chewed up.
