View Full Version : Driveshafts same on 69's?? Ken Tolz Oct 19th, 03, 03:25 PM Are the driveshafts the same length for either the auto or manual trans?? THANKS graemlins/beers.gif jimfulco Oct 19th, 03, 11:18 PM Should be. BamaBoy Oct 20th, 03, 03:38 AM If the auto is a 350 or a power glide it is. A 400 is longer so the drive shaft will be shorter (been there done that; the shirt don't fit anymore). The 400 also has a fine spline output shaft so the yoke on the front of the driveshaft is different also. jimfulco Oct 20th, 03, 07:48 PM My '69 Nova has a '67 T-400 that I put in with the '67 yoke, an adapter U-joint, & the original stick-shift '69 driveshaft. No problem at all. 69pace Oct 21st, 03, 04:13 AM Yes they are the same length. I have a turbo 350 and a muncie in my 69's and have swapped them out before. |
