I have a 67 with a 454, saginaw right now,m20 later and a 12 bolt.I'm puting in a new Eaton and ring&pinion.It's not a drag racer,just a fun cruiser.Which gear would be best,3.73 3.42 or 3.55?Are Richmond or US Gear better.I've heard Richmond make more noise.Rear tires now are 245/60 15,but that could change.

I'd be curious as well.
What about Master Line gears. Are they any good to the previous mentioned?

I sell and install more Motive Gear and US Gear than anything else, and they have been very good gears. I have also installed many Richmond gears with no problems. I think the Richmond gears have a reputation for making noise because they sell more gears and many of the people who install them probably don't know how to set them up properly. The 3.73 and 3.42 gears are cheaper than the 3.55 gears. I don't know why. The 3.42 is probably the best all around gear for a car that will see a few highway miles, but is still fun in town.

My R&P of choise is US Gear...second would be Precision, which is made off of the old US Gear dies.
