Can someone please tell me if a set of 3.36 gears will fit on a carrier that currently has 2.73 gears on it? Do I have to get a 3 series carrier or can I make it work somehow?

What differential are we talking about?

If it is a 8.2 10 bolt or a 12 bolt then it won't fit. You will need a 3 series differential for the 3.36 gears. You can use a ring gear spacer, but I don't recommend it. If it is a 8.5 10 bolt then it will fit.
