I need the expert help of the people who use this fantastic site! Could anyone tell me what type of GM car this housing was originally installed. The seller says it's out of a 1970 Z28 Camaro. but if I remember right, Camaro went to Coil springs in 1970. Here is the data provided:
12 bolt housing
Spring perch ctr to ctr is 45.25"
flange to flange is 55 3/8"
Housing stamped C OS 0224G2

Other numbers seen on housing are B120 and 8969841NE

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Also anyone who might know where I can locate a 12 bolt housing for a 1969 Z28 Camaro, please provide a source. I know I can use some Firebird and Nova rearends.

Thanks for all answers ahead of time!

The '70 Camaro rear end is 61 inches wide total and the spring mounts are 45 1/4 inches center to center. It soulds like he has a '70 rear end. I can build a 12 bolt for a '69 with an Impala housing. The Camaro housings are pretty hard to find now.
