I am trying to help someone who asked me for help with a problem on there 66, this is what was asked of me, can anyone on this site help?

I
need to know what's correct for a '66 SS clutch linkage setup. I've replaced the necessary parts with the big block stuff but I don't have enough clutch adjustment
when I use the BB adjusting rod. (Small block is longer & will work though). I have the 621 belhousing, raised diaphragm pressure plate w/ short bearing as part of the Luk OEM kit. The clutch fork is new GM & the clutch fork ball stud is # 3729000 & 1.5" tall. Two questions I have Is does the clutch pedal push rod that goes through the firewall straight, or does it have a couple of bends in it? Does the cross shaft (or z-bar) arm that connects to that pushrod rest at 12:00 or 11:00 as in the assembly manual? Mine is at 12:00. any help is desparately needed & would be greatly appreciated.
I've gotten a lot of help from the Team Chevelle fans but haven't solved this part of the problem yet.

Thanks
Rocky
