Sorry for the simple question but this is my last resort. Tried searching previous posts and the net but no luck. Need the correct procedure for checking the AT fluid level. I am pretty sure it is with the engine running and trans in park or possibly in drive with wheels blocked but I think thats how you adjust idle speed. Moving from KY to MN and all my books and owners manual are in a box in MN. I am driving the Camaro to MN on Friday and just going through the final checks to make sure my baby will make it alright. Thanks. joe

Ive always checked mine in park, running, both cold and hot. If this is wrong, then ive been doing it wrong for years! (which is a distinct possibility.)

Thanks for the quick reply James. I thought that was the correct way just needed someone to agree. Very nice car. I like how the headers look cast iron so they dont stand out too much. Is it an orgiginal 275HP/327? Want to make my 210HP a 275HP clone, but cant find the correct air cleaner. joe

In park/engine running is correct. The level may come up a tad when hot, but not much...
