My differential is now back in the car. The spring pads have register holes that should put the differential square to the frame and spring. But it seems that there could be a mis-alignmnent of maybe 1/4" or so. Is there a way of measuring to put it square to the car? I don't see anything in the assembly manual on this subject. Thanks for all the help in removal and reinstallation.

i just got mine back in about a week ago. i measured from the front side of the tube to the body alignment hole on the inboard side of the rear frame rails.

look for a hole about 1/2"-5/8". it's right up close to the front of the rear frame rail on the inside.

i made the measurement the same for both sides. i think in reality a plumb bob is dropped from the center of the hole and a measurement is given to the center hole in the spring clamp plate.

hope this helps.
