Can anybody tell me what the value of an original 3-speed Saginaw transmission would be? It came with my 68 that I bought 2 months ago and I would like to get it out of the garage....thanks.

Paul robbm Jul 21st, 03, 12:32 PM Don't know about value, but I think I read somewhere that only 500-600 cars where built with 3 speed standards in each 67 & 68. Not a big deal, but something to consider.... my father had a new 68 way back when... 327 with a 3 speed standard. Guess there wasn't that many of them... Robb PS Someone please correct me if I've misstated anything, I have a really bad memory graemlins/clonk.gif Kyvox Jul 21st, 03, 07:40 PM There's no real demand for a 3 speed saginaw. They were the base transmission in Camaros, and thousands of them were made. Value? About $20-$50. If it is original to your car, I would hang on to it. Robbm- You might be thinking of the column shift 3 spd., or maybe the HD 3 spd. option. I think they were both fairly low production. |
