im looking for somesort of step-by-step guide to change a convertor into a th350, also for installing a shift improver kit.

Robert - when you buy the shift improver kit, it will have step by step instructions to install it. As far as the converter, when you get the trans out, measure the distance between the bellhousing mating surface and the converter, pull the old one out, and just work the new one in, (nicely), until that measurement is met. Yes its possible. I did more work to work around the trans than if I had just dropped it!
