I installed a new Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch behind my 407 SBC and TKO 600.

Did the requisite 500 mile breakin and let it rip...very impressed.

I had a Centerforce II before and thought it worked quite well. I put some 17,000 hard miles on that and now can see it was definitely showing its age-minor slippage on shifts.

This new dual friction model slips none. Each gear is very hard hitting if you 'shift' it hard. For a funny looking disc...the clutch seems to work great.

Does brake pedal effort change with rpm's. I am contimplating this clutch for my LT-1 ZF 6 speed combo. Thanks

I agree, the DF is a great clutch.

I have noticed that they aren't quite as silky smooth as the II, but who knows.

I've read about balance problems, but none on the ones I've installed.

The last time I drove the Centerforce II setup was over 4 years ago so comparisons are difficult.

I do know that the current foot pressure is certainly not unreasonable...definitely not like a Long or B and B type plate.

The setup was neutral balanced upon engine machining, but otherwise smooth.

I really have no complaints...works like advertised whether it is cold (15 degrees out now) or fully warmed up.

I also run the stock 30 pound flywheel and mechanical linkage.
