If this is a '69 rear end and you have multi leaf springs in your '68 then it should work.

Looks like you do have a rear for a 69, but it's a very late one.
BR is the code for a 3.07 geared posi rear
0225 is February 25th
G2 is Detroit Gear plant, shift 2
E is an Eaton posi
Cast stamp translates to Feb 5, 1970, which is the weird part. 69 production was finished in Nov 69, I think.
The 70 and up Camaros (and Novas, and...) used a three character code on the axle stamp.
Could that B50 be B59?

We have just purchased a 1968 camaro, it has all the ss badges and 327 emblem. We took the engine out to freshen it up. We find that the engine is a 350 with a MU code. The engine is a numbers match to the vin. The car has a power glide trans., but it has a 10 bolt rear end, is this possible or was the rear end changed out at some time? The gentleman we purchased the car from owned it for 2 years and would not guarantee any numbers.

Yes, the 350 SS when backed by a glide, got a 10-bolt.
If you do a search in tag team under "real SS 68" you should find all the other clues to tell you if the car is a real SS. Wouldn't that be cool?

That's only true in 69. The PG was the only automatic transmission available with small blocks in 68 (except for a small group of cars at the end of the 68 model year that got TH350's). All 68 small block SS's with an auto transmission (power glide) have 12 bolt rear axles.

Guess I'm learning (and remembering) too much for my 69, and forgetting what I learned for the 68. My bad.
