I like the Borg Warner 4-speeds. I think it would suit you just fine. As with just about any factory stock manual transmission, slicks in combination with hard clutch dumps will break them eventually.
I have experience with an iron case Borg Warner T-10. It took all I could dish out on the street(my motor was around 400HP). I was very pleased with it.

As Chris stated the BW T-10 and ST-10's can be very good transmissions behind moderately built engines if built right and maintained properly.
The design is now owned by Richmond Corp. and is still manufactured.
Here is a link to a great site with lots of info on the ST-10 identification. It also contains some links to T-10 info and parts suppliers. (http://fiedlerh.home.att.net/BW.htm)
I would hazard a quess by your discription that you have a later Alum. case unit. 1969 Camaro's, or for that matter any 1967~69 Camaro, didn't come with T-10's as I'm sure you are aware by now.
The later ST-10's had larger output yokes and used the larger U-joint size.
Hope some of this helps - post back if you have any questions.

You have a 2.64 low ST-10. Will work as good as anything you can put behind your motor. Very good ratio spread (either one there are two) and enough first gear so that you don't have to run 3.73s or such to make it work. If no broken parts very good price.
