Don't have the original speedometer cable, so which one do I get? I have a Muncie 4spd behind a 350 in a 67 Coupe. The output for the speedometer cable is on the drivers side. I am using an electronic speedo and want to keep the converter unit on the firewall or under the dash and then run the wire(s) from it to the speedometer. The catalogs all have several lengths of cables to choose from. Has anyone done this and what length cable did you use?

I haven't done that but the car uses an upper and lower cable. I would think that you could run the lower cable from the trans to the firewall and mount your sender there somewhere. From that point in you could run your other wiring. Or, if you want to keep more of a factory look you could run both cables as original and mount the sender somewhere behind the dash/instrument cluster.
