With all the good advice, I am going for the Tremec 600 to go with my nova 8.5" 10 bolt and 350 bored over engine. Any recommendations on a heavy duty clutch?

Theres a lot of good choices out there. You will find many go for the centerforce dual friction, almost all the companys are doing dual frictions these days.

Heres my choice for the TKO 600 and since your going to super charge the engine 500+ hp is not unreasonable.

Mcleod 11" flywheel neutral balance(internal balanced engine) 460130
Mcleod pressure plate 360820
Mcleod disk 260873
Mcleod adjustable throw out bearing 16505
Mcleod adjustable pivot ball 16908
Mcleod scattershield 8630

The frictions are organic and kevlar and the clutch is 12 inches, fits on the 11 inch flywheel. This should cover you up to 600 ponies,
beyond that you should think about a street twin set up. This set up will cruise nicely and shouldnt chatter.

Ive tested the limits of a center force dual friction, smoked it in 6 passes. Not that its a bad clutch they actually work pretty well but it depends on how you will use the car. My BB started to hook and the center force couldnt hold the 600+ ftlbs. I run a clutch masters full kevlar, in it now, picked up a half second first pass. This set up I suggested I will use in my pro touring car that im building and also have a tko 600.

Good Luck with your choice - - Rich

I'm putting in a TKO 600 pretty soon but I'm going to be using my stock bellhousing and 10.5 inch flywheel until I build my new motor (406 supercharged too !!)...

You wouldnt happen to have all the McLeod part numbers lying around for that would you ???
