just messing around the engine the other day cleaning stuff up, noticed the kickdown cable didn't look right. the little square plastic piece that pushes through the bracket and kinda spreads out and snaps in, wasn't pushed all the way through(if that made sense :D ). snapped it through, now the cable isn't tight running to the carb bracket. how should i adjust it? never messed with the kickdown cable. shifts seem ok too.

Just make sure it's fully extended at wide open throttle. If it is slack that is ok so long as WOT is correct.
