I recentlt installed an slp posi out of a 2001 camaro ss in my 82. I was told to get the 28 spline axles to replace the 26 I have and all should be good. I went to install the axles and they are to long. Did chevy make a different size 10 bolt rear for the third gen camaros???I know the new ones are longer and the axles I have were pulled from a junkyard. I dont know if the dude gave me axles out of a 98 - newer or if the 28 spline axles from a 86 - 89 are just longer. help???

I'm not sure, but I think the axles should be the same length from '82 to '92. The '90 to '92 Camaro and Firebird will have 28 spline axles.
