I need some of your expert advice.

When I am driving my '69 Z28 with original M21 and punch it, the car revs high and then it seems to gradualy catch into gear. The best way to describe it is it feels like an automatic. The transmission makes no noises what so ever. What could be wrong? Is it possibly time for a transmission rebuild? This just started to happen recently.

Clutch is slipping.

If the clutch is slipping what is needed:
a readjustment?
or a new clutch?

If you have no free pedal travel it's possible an adjustment could help if the clutch hasn't become glazed. You should have approx 1" of free travel before the clutch starts to disengage. Otherwise I'm afraid you need a new clutch which isn't really that bad a thing.

If you get a new clutch, spend the extra $25 and get a machine shop to surface you flywheel also.
