I have a line on a 94 4L60 trans out of a full sized van that I would like to install in a 68 Camaro behind a big block (after it's been upgraded) Were all the 94 model 4L60's computer controlled? Anything else I need to do to install it? Thanks in advance for your help.

You didn't say what engine or what state it's in - but on west here 1994 full size vans have the 4l60E electronic controlled trans in them that I know of.
You can get 90's Caprice tailshafts for the speedo and boxes to controll shifts from several sources.

All 4L60's after '91 were computer controlled. You must use a computer in order for these trans. to work. There are several companies selling stand alone computers to make this happen. You can't just replace the tailshaft for the speedo cable as the 4L60 needs the speed generater to function properly. Of course if you use an electronic speedo, this is a non issue. HTH,

Tail shaft kits for speedo cable conversions are available from several trans sources - they usually include the information to relocate the reluctor assemble or a new type reluctor that doesn't interfer with the speedo gear.
Info is also available online - do a search for 4L60E Speedo Cable Conversion.
