I have a friend with a 65 tempest with a 326 pontiac and a powerglide he would like to upgrade to a three speed will a chevy th350 bolt up. I know it's not a camaro but I told him if anyone can help the people on this tech line are some of the smartest I have found.

He would need a Buick/Olds/Pontiac TH350 with the long extension housing.

The Chevy bellhousing pattern is different.
