Putting the motor back into the car, but don't remember which way the clutch plate is supposed to face. It's a centerforce dual friction setup. Does the clutch disk with the solid clutch pad material around the entire disk face the flywheel?

The 'raised' part of the marcel carrier, (where the springs are) goes toward the pressure plate. In the past few years, some clutch manufacturers have changed which side they put the materials on, so it is no longer that the 'puck' side goes towards the P Plate......it can be either.
But the taller side of the disk where the springs are goes towards the P Plate no matter what.

Yes, I think it does, but maybe you should call them to make sure:

it will only truly fit one way.

The clutch disk will install either way but if you install it with raised side toward the flywheel, you will grind off the flywheel bolt heads. When I bought the 69 the idiot that had it before me installed it backwards. The clutch worked but it sure did chew up the bolts. It was very difficult to remove them because there was almost no bolt head left to get a socket on. I had to have another person apply even pressure on the socket while I broke them loose. I knew if I didn't do it that way the bolt heads would have stripped for sure. That is just one of the many wonderous things that this guy did with the car. Thank god that I completly disassembled it for a frame-off.
