Would it be beneficial for me to use the 85W-140 weight oil over the 80W-90 in my S10 that has some ring gear wear ? I know I asked this in another post (after being a little long-winded), but I need to get this thing put back together. Thanks, Ron.

I don't think it will mane much difference. The worn gear is going to generate more heat, so you should be more conserned about getting a oil that can handle more heat.
