Anyone have a suggestion for a starter. I discovered this weekend the stock starter will not fit. It is a 383. Anyone know the tooth count on a flex plate for this combo. Flex plate is out of a 400.

There are many different mini starters on the market that will work. Mine is a GMPP starter and it works great and will work with multiple flywheel/flexplate combinations.

You could get a starter drive housing that matches your flywheel size & just use it with your current starter motor. You'll need different bolts to go with it too.
