Okay, I bought this 12 bolt GM posi carrier off of ebay. The person that sold it to me told me it was a 2 series carrier. I bought it thinking I could use a spacer and use 3.73 gears, but after talking to numerous people I learned that using a spacer was not the way to go. So before I sell this carrier can someone please tell me if it is a 2-series or 3-series. The number on the housing is EDB-30140 then there is a circle then a 2.

Joe is right, the EDB-30140 is a 3 series posi. You will not need a spacer for a 3.73 gear. graemlins/beers.gif
