Take this test to find out. You'd be surprised.

I'll bet even safe drivers don't like being stuck behind a big SUV that they can't see around... at least I do... and no tickets/accidents here yet (knock on wood).

graemlins/beers.gif Yep, them and diesels! I can't drive behind those stinky things! I think all of you diesel people should have to follow each other everywhere you drive. :D

Jody - to a diesel head their exhaust is like race gas to a gear head!!

It's getting bad when they do a study based on 30 people... graemlins/sad.gif

Sometimes I feel like I'm a NASCAR driver on a super speedway track stuck in the pack just waiting for the BIG ONE to happen on California freeways. And a good running diesel is cool but a bad running one just gasses the guy out behind him.

That test is B.S.

What you are supposed to do in freeway traffic is keep one car length between you and the next car.For every 10mph you add one car length.
In reality if you do that you should just pull off the road because you will never have your foot on the gas pedal. There will be way to many cars pulling in front of you.Hell if there is a carlength and a half they cut in,and thats at 75MPH.All I can say is be on your toes people and always have your other foot poised for the break stomp.

LOL, I agree with you Jody. I don't know how anyone can stand the smell of diesel fuel or exhaust. It actually gives me a sore throat.

I'm not a dangerous driver so long as the guy in front of me drives the speed limit and the guy next to me in the passing lane talking on the cell phone will make room to pass.

By that survey I am a very dangerous driver. I talk on the phone, eat fast food, drive too fast, hate SUV's, and have to slow down for the State Troopers . . .

However, I haven't had a ticket in 6 years and no accidents in 8. In fact, I haven't had an accident that was my fault since 1987. (knock on wood)

I actually like the smell of my diesel pickup, but I have smelled many diesel trucks that need some service and they could gag a maggot.Of course I have also driven behind many old cars that need some help, and they do not smell much better IMO.
