will a rearend from a 79 camaro fit in a 67 camaro? or is the size different? If it won't what cars should I look at for a 10 bolt posi?

I'm almost positive the 79 won't fit.

67-69 Firebird, Camaro
68-79 Nova and it's GM sisters (Ventura, Apollo, somebody help!!)

The 70 up Camaro rear is 1.5" wider. It would work but not with factory wheels. A 71-74 nova is the best place for a 8.5 rear end 2 & 4 doors are the same.68-70 Nova has a 8.2 like the Camaro 75 up has a 7.5.

The over all width of the second gen Camaro rear end is 1 inch wider, but the biggest problem is the spring mountsw are about 3 inches farther apart.
