Any recommendations on which tramission fluid I should use on my 700r4? ACDelco, Amsoil Synthetic? I flushed out the old one, But I'm not sure which one was in there to begin with.

Id sure recommend the Amsoil for cooling running temps and longer life. Its pricey but worth it in the long run.

I was looking at the AMSOIL Supershift Transmission Fluid, approx $8/quart is a little pricey, but well worth it I'm sure.

Mobil 1 synthetic works real well for me. Dropped 20-25 degrees in race trannies with it.

Bow Tie Overdrives recommends buying whatever is cheap and changing it once a year.(Dexron III) A 700r4 hold about 11 qts. $88 for trans fluid would be a hard pill to swallow vs. $11 for the reg. stuff on sale.

I know that the service life recomendation of the Dextron in the big screw type compressors is 500 hrs as long as they don't run hotter than their normal range. Now if you take the 500 hrs.it would approximate about 30000 miles running time in our vehicles, which is about two years driving on average. I would think a fluid change every two years or less would be o.k.

Caterpiller 30wt hydraulic fluid.

I run the Sams Club special and change once a year.
