I am putting my car back to a PG AT from a Borg Warner 4 spd. I found the correct trans for the car, but it was setup for a column shift. Are the lever arms interchangable for a floor shifted lever arm?

Since I don't have the car with me now, it looks like the floor shifted lever arm is held onto the shift shaft with a pin, whereas the column type almost seems integrated with the shifting shaft.

Any help is MUCH appreciated as the car is down until I can get this figured out. If it means removing the trans to change the arm- break the news to me slowly- the Summer is mighty short in Michigan, so any time down is lost time.

Regardless of shift lever, the shift arm in the trans is the same both ways. Your 67 is a "linkage rod" type rather than a 68-69 cable shifted type. Most any 64-67 Chevelle console shift will be the same set-up. Either set-up, rod or cable will work just fine.

69 came with an extra hole in the shift arm for the steering wheel lockout, however, the shift lever hole is the same location.

These are my thoughts as I have a 67 trans, 68 shifter, and a 69 & later shift arm. All bolts up.
