guys,

i finally got to drive my camaro with the TKO! graemlins/hurray.gif  :D

but i have a few questions...

in 4th gear, at around 3000, i get a vibration/rattle.

could this be pinion angle/U joint?

D & D (where i got the tranny) said that its due to the fact that i have an energy suspension poly mount. what mount do you guys use?

any other ideas?

also, what do you guys do for proper break in?

i have auto tranny fluid in there (for first 800 miles)

thanks guy!!

I use GM Synchromesh, part# 12345349, in mine. Expect to pay around $10 a quart. Mine was a little cranky to shift at first and a little on the noisy side. I have about 2k on it now and everything seems fine. I ran the synthetic from day one.

thanks guy!! You shouldn't have any noise in 4th. I'd double check your angles, driveshaft balance, tire balance, rear gear setup, etc.
And switch to the GM synchromesh any time. Even TTC recommends against the synthetics.

You can break in the tranny by putting the rear on jack stands, and running back and forth thru the gears for 15 minutes. Then swap in the GM Synchromesh.
