I have a turbo 350 trans that wont go into drive or reverse until the car runs for a bit. Once it goes into gear it will run any gear combo you want and will do it well.
The dip stick looks good warmed up.
This car sits for extended periods between starts.
Normal for a car that sits ?

Thanks.

When you say it won't go into drive or reverse are you saying the L1 works? Reverse and Drive both share the direct clutch pack, but L1 and L2 use a different path. A line pressure test is in order. Fluid level is good I presume (checked warm running in park). Could be just about anything from worn seals to valve body leaks to sticking valves.
