My a/c was all chopped and my heater was wired to a custom switch under the dash when I bought this car... but I'de still like to test the blower motor while it's still on the workbench if I could.
Anyone know how I can verify that all is well before it all goes back on?

You should be able to run a positive and a negative wire from your car battery to the positive and negative wires on the blower to test it.

There is only one terminal on the fan motor. It gets grounded when it's bolted into place I believe. You can test it by attaching a wire to it under the fender and then connecting it to a batt (+) source.

On an A/C blower motor there are actually two terminals. smile.gif That's because the A/C suitcase is fiberglass, unlike the non A/C ductwork that is metal. There is a male electrical connector soldered to the blower motor flange to connect a wire to. A/C blower motors are different than non A/C blowers.

I looked at one of my spare suitcases last night, and in the interest of being correct, the negative terminal is riveted to the blower motor flange, not soldered.
Nothing beats cold air blowing on your leg in a convertible with the top down.

I'm going to test it tonight while my 2nd coat of POR-15 engine paint is drying...
