I have a restored 69 Camaro SS350. I installed a new 21" 3-row "Visteon" brand radiator in the spring of 2002. The existing radiator was identical in size and worked fine with no leaks. I got a hair brain idea to replace it with a new shiny model and now this 1-year old radiator started leaking on the way to a car show yesterday. Also, is a 195 degree thermostat correct for the 350ci 300hp engine? Any of you have ideas on what brand/type I should replace this one with. Much appreciated feedback. Thanks, Ray......

i would suggest an 180 degree thermostat,
preferably a "high-flow" stant and others make the high-flow type, for just "a few dollars more";{and not the Movie, lol}.
I put a Griffen aluminum in my car,and pulled it back out,and spray painted it semi flat black, with Krylon spray paint,It looks a Lot better black, and the car runs much cooler at high speed Interstate driving, than when i had the 3 core Modine big block radiator.

I second the 180 degree thermostat. I'm running a PCR aluminum and a 16 " spal in zz4, and it never exceeds the stat temp 180 * on the highway. In city traffic, or just idle, the temp slowly rises and will energize the fan @200 ON and will drop it back to < 185 OFF.
This is a two core aluminum and cools much better than the old three row brass ever did!
