THis is a basic question and I'm sorry but I must not have learned it. When is it time to shut it down? I thought 200 degrees was shut down time. But a buddie told me you start worring at 220 or 230.......thanks..jeoff

He's correct...200 is pretty warm, hot but not critically hot. 220 or 230 is definitely pushing the limit (time to shut down and cool off).

I think 200* is fine, but 190* is better.

I agree with Scott on the high side temperature and I agree with gheatly on the running temperature.

180 to 200 running is fine but 230 would be the point of worry.
