I'm almost done my A/C restoration (69) an I want to thank all the people who posted. I have one more small item... The main black fused line that runs from the horn relay to the a/c relay is installed. Is that wrapped into the wire harness that runs over the inner fender well (drivers side), or is it left out of the harness and just fastened with straps to the fender well with the harness, vacuum hoses etc. I'm trying to get it factory correct.
Thanks,
Joe

should be wrapped in the wiring harness tape then strapped down

It's not part of the standard engine compartment wiring harness which was already taped when it was installed in the car, so it's supposed to be run with the taped harness, but not taped inside the harness. The AIM (page RPO C60-E3) shows the wire being held to the main lighting harness by 2 straps and two pieces of tape. One strap is located between the strap holding the wiring harness to the inner fenderwell and the core support, one strap is in the gap between the inner fenderwell and the firewall, One peice of tape 12" long holds the wires to the engine wiring harness where it comes out of the firewall and runs behind the master cylinder, about 3" from the firewall connector, and another 12" piece of tape is wrapped around the engine harness just above the wiper motor. The A/C wires do not go under the two straps holding the lighting harness to the inner fenderwell.
