anybody ever have this problem? i put all new heater hoses in my car a few months ago. then i noticed little drops of antifreeze every now and then on the passenger side under the hood. had no clue where it was coming from, didn't really worry me since it was so little and the coolant level wasn't noticeably dropping. looked around a little more today, rubbed my hands down the heater hoses, coolant is dribbling out tiny holes. they're pin size holes spaced evenly down the hoses. i guess a factory thing and some holes got punched too far?? no idea why they would even be there though. i've always used gates belts, hoses, etc. made an exception this time since the auto parts store only had pre-cut lengths of heater hose in bags. definitely won't be using that brand when i replace the hoses again  just thought it was really strange.

If those itsy bitsy holes are in a line, it is from the equipment used to push/pull the hose through the cutting machine. The equipment uses fine barbs to grab the hose and push/pull it through and sometimes, these barbs go a little deep. Found this out on the A/C hoses for my 5th Ave. All aftermarket hoses had leaks, had to buy Chrysler (for an 87 5th Ave). Costly.
