Just bought a new radiator. It's a 3 core 23 inch unit. My old one was a 21 inch 3 core (has a harrison tank on the cap side if some one wants to buy the tank other tank is shot)Anyway my upper radiator hose for the 23 inch is coming up short. I bought a new one and it even shorter than the one I have? The 23 inch does not have the curved neck it is a strait neck. Anyone know of a part number from Autozone or Napa that is the right one? Mine hooks up but I don't like it.

Also where can I get the collapsable nut that the lower right radiator mounting bolt goes into in the core support? other than this I paid $175 at Autozone for the unit and it looks like a nice part.

I just replaced my 2 core 21 inch radiator with a BB 4 core 23 inch radiator. My stock upper radiator hose was too short, so I used the BB upper radiator hose from Pep Boys. It was long, so I trimmed it down a bit on both ends. It fits pretty good now. Also, check out summit or jegs. Each one sells flexible radiator hoses in different lengths, but they cost a little more.

Thnaks for the input. The only big block hose available to me belive it or not is for a curved neck big block radiator, now if I was trying to find one of those that would be great. two parts stores in town are trying to sell me curved neck hoses. All the small block hoses are to short. Any part numbers from NAPA? Have one here but it's heavy truck parts. They can order if i give them a part number.

thanks
Joe

Joe,
I am is the same boat as you, my 4 core 23" radiator is on it's way to me as we speak. According to the Napa website, http://www.napaonline.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ExecMacro/NAPAonline/search_results_kw.d2w/report?ENG=66%7C5.4+L++327+CID++V8&search_string=Upper+Radiator+Hose&org_string=radiator+hos e (http://www.napaonline.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ExecMacro/NAPAonline/search_results_kw.d2w/report?ENG=66%7C5.4+L++327+CID++V8&search_string=Upper+Radiator+Hose&org_string=radiator+hose)
NAPA only offers three different upper radiator hoses for a 67 with a 327.
Part NBH 7367 is for a 210 hp 327 w/ or w/o a/c and standard cooling. I assume this is for the 21" radiator
Part NBH 7368 is for the 275 hp w/ or w/o a/c and HD cooling. I'm thinking this is the one we want.
Part NBH FF281 is a flexible hose that suposedly fits all aplications.
Hope this helps.

I bought new well nuts at the hardware store. They were a perfect match. They're in the hardware section in those special boxes of special fasteners and stainless steel bolts etc. I live in a town of 600 people, if our hardware store has them (Hardware Hank) you should be able to find them.
