Hey guys, I'm working on my 68 and am to the stage of finishing the underdash stuff.
My car was missing the ducting that connects the vent balls to the cowl..
I have vent balls, the elbow with valve, the accordion duct and the retainer..
My question.. how is the retainer fastened to the duct??
Is it glued in place or does the accordian piece get wedged inside the retainer??

although i don't 100% understand which piece your reffering to, its all a slip fit installation. the piece that screws to the cowl, then the "accordian" flex piece, then the vent elbow/valve, then to the bezel/ball assembly. if that answers your question, cool. if not, try to explain it differently and maybe i'll figure it out graemlins/clonk.gif .
i just did all this last year to mine, it works killer! in adition to the slip fit deal, i used a little foam weatherstripping placed at the top connection of the "accordian" piece, and i have zero leaks. this info of course is likely not "concours" but it works perfect, and looks original where it counts.
good luck with it graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I have glued the accordion piece to the retainer that screws to the cowl with weatherstrip adhesive. I know this wasn't done like this at the factory, and I belive I'm missing a rubber piece that fits between, I'm considering cutting up an innertube and gluing that down...
Thanks for the help so far..
