Hey all, I've noticed my inside heater box (non AC) swinging doors have lost all of their foam sealant... I figure the stuff is there to keep the doors from ratlin' and to provide a little sealing to improve efficincy...
Anyone know where to get suitable foam for this purpose that will not emit any foulness when heated? Everyting I've found seems to be too thick at fabric stores, I'm looking for a 16'th to an 8'th of thickness
Thanks

i'm sure the resto houses sell something for that. i wonder if house door weatherstrip would work? the self adhesive stuff you stick in doors to cut off drafts that you can buy for $1 for like 10 feet of it.

The kits that the resto houses sell are not very good. The foam is real thick and hard. I bought the heater box seal kit from Ricks and was not impressed. It took alot of shaving and shaping to get things to work and I am still not happy with the results.
