Has anyone tried to mount their stock radiator shroud to a Becool radiator using the Becool supplied universal mounting brackets. I really don't see how the Becool brackets are supposed to work. If all else fails, I'm getting out my assortment of tie wraps.........

I purchased a BE COOL for my 68 dont know about those brackets, I used zip-ties.If Ihad to do it over again I'd shop around for a rad. w/lower shroud clips.Saw one at a swap meet but don't recall manufacturer. It was a very nice looking radiator. For what a BE-COOL costs those clips should be there.

Be Cool is assuming you are going to swap over to a electric fan setup. They even sell the kit to do it. When they say direct fit, they mean to the core support.

FYI the BeCool catalog literature shown in Jegs, or Summit for example, for my application, clearly says "order 4 of 72003 to install stock shroud". I ordered and received these brackets and have no clue how they are supposed to work. I have inquired via email to BeCool for clarification. One of the reasons I bought the BeCool is because it appeared I could use the stock shroud via their shroud mounting brackets (72003). I had not planned to shell out the extra 300 bucks for the electric fan. I guess we'll see how this plays out with the BeCool technical staff.....
