My '68 rs/ss has a 3 core radiator, it's the 396/350. I know they sell a four core for this year, I'm courious as to what model or engine/ trans. combo came that year with a four core??

Thanks, Wayne

I'm pretty sure the L-78 375HP 396 came w/ the 4 core rad.not sure about trans. You'd have better cooling w/ 4 core on a street machine.

In addition to the 4 core being thicker, it is also wider by 2 inches. I have one in my 67. An aluminum 2 or 3 core will probably cool the same or better.

A two row 1" aluminum will have another 30% more cooling capacity than the four core. The alum ones only come in one or two rows or cores as you put it.

I suggest PRC radiators.... www.streetrodstuff.com/Products/157 (http://www.streetrodstuff.com/Products/157)

I have a 3 row (tube/core  ) in my truck...

I do stand corrected on the three row aluminum, I ...I forgot that Fluidyne makes a few three row models but larger tubed two-rows are more efficient unless the three-row had matching tube size and fins per inch. I don't now what size tubes Fluidyne uses?...yet..working on that?

I have never seen a four-row aluminum for street applications. Even so, these would be extra thick or feature smaller tubes. You want the largest tubes that you can get to increase flow thru the radiator.

I looked at the Griffin site but your link did not work? But I looked at Camaros and only two row alum was offered at 1.25" per tube. This is the best combo in the cooling business in my opinion.
