I have a 67 camaro with a rebuilt 355. The temp seems to climb to high when I step on the gas. The highest its got is about 210-230. From reading the other postings I have a cause to be concerned. I have an electric fan and am running a 4 core radiator. Any advice on what I need to try is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Have you calibrated your temp gauge reading vs. an I.R. gun reading of the thermostat housing so you know what the gauge is telling you? That's step #1. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I've heard that not enough vacuum could also mess with the heat? I am just lost as to what it could be. I don't think that it is a gauge issue, the engine really is getting hot. Could fry and egg.
