Hello All!
I recently bought a 69 Camaro that has had a '94 firebird LT1 engine swap. Previous owner had no need for heating the interior. Firewall has been smoothed. The water pump housing ports are just plugged. In addition, the mechanical pump was replaced by a Meziere electric unit.

I am adding a Vintage Air heating/cooling/defrost unit but not sure how the heater hoses are connected to the water pump housing. My water pump housing has a GM P/N 10128327. I am not sure what is inlet or outlet. Does anyone have pictures of how the system should be connected?

The searches I have come up with so far seem to indicate that there is a T fitting on one side and a flow restrictor on the other in the original set up. Will I need these also?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Fred

The supply to the lower heater core pipe is from the intake manifold fitting (5/8" hose), and the return is from the upper heater core pipe to a fitting on the water pump (3/4" hose); no flow restrictors are used. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

hmmm, John, is that right for an LT1 with reverse flow cooling? '93 vette I had didn't even have a thermostat housing that I ever saw, at least not in the usual place.
