I have recently bought a 1991 Camaro RS with a 305 TBI. When I drove the car home the heater worked great. Then it went to "would come on after awhile" now it's at the doesn't work at all stage. I removed the fan switch itself and checked the resistance. Doesn't seam to be defective. When I go down the road I can feel heat "sitting" in the vent, just not blowing out. Does anyone have a wiring Shematic for this circuit, or know the troubleshooting steps that they could send me?

Welcome to the Club! You might check the Heater/A/C fuse. If fan speed is on HIGH, no resistor block is used, blower should work.

You should have a natural flow of air with the car in motion. You might even "hotwire" the blower from the engine side just to see if the blower does work.

You van get a schematic from a shop having Mitchell Repair CD. I'd offer the owner $10 to print it out. Central library would also be a good choice. Haynes manual would work also.

Newbies buy first round, I'll have an iced tea with a kick.......

Hey thanks for the reply. It was actually nice outside today for a change, so I went out and tested the voltage in with a DMM. Had good voltage that was adjusted with the fan speed switch. So of course my first thought "oh, man these things are pain to replace." So I thought I would try the "tap it with a hammer" trick. It works now, but I think I'm gonna have to replace the motor. Definately not a job I am looking forward too.
Right now I'm replacing the bottom door pin and bushings, Man what a pain in the rear that job is!!! I got the two inner bushing out and in without too much of a hasle, but the outer pin ways are oblonged and I'm afrain if I drill them out round again the hole will be too big for the bushing. So I'm having to do a little modification to the bushings and holes to get them within close enough tolerance not to break the bushing, but still not have any wobble. Wish me luck!?!
