I just recieved from Jegs a Edelbrock Victor Series Water Pump w/ Permastar cotaing. The picture shown online, www.Edelbrock.com, (http://www.Edelbrock.com,) makes one think it looks like chrome, but in reality it is more of glossy gray. Needless to say I am very disappointed. Has anyone else purchsed any of the Edelbrock Permastar coated products? If so, is that the correct color, or did I just get a bad apple, because this one is getting returned ASAP.

From what I understand - there are actually two types of finishes Edlebrock offers other than polished. One is Permastar - which you have. The other is called Endura Shine - my Jeg's catalong (page 75) shows the intake and says "Endura Shine is brighter than the Permastar finish & looks closer to a natural chrome finish" The prices are the same. Not sure if they make a water pump with the Endura Shine finish though - if they do - Jeg's doesn't list it in their catalog. Maybe call Edlebrock and ask them: 1-800-FUN-TEAM
